INDUCTION AND APPRAISALS
Starting with a comprehensive induction at the beginning of your role, you will get to learn all about MLS Group and where your job fits into the team. In your first three months you will be guided through your responsibilities and duties to ensure you are making the best of your ability to continue into the full time role. A probationary appraisal may also be carried out.
As team workers, we also aim to hold regular team meetings in order to asess departmental performance, raise concerns and issues and of course, share successes with colleagues!
SUPPORTING OUR STAFF
With over 600 employees across the Group, MLS recognise that each individual has different needs. As such, the company has set up support structures for their staff to use.
The Employee Assistance Programme recognises that the pressures of everyday life can affect any member of staff for a variety of reasons and this specialist, fully confidential service is available to all for any reason. In terms of professional development, MLS is also happy to look at any applications for supportive courses to your role that will help an employee improve their skill set.
CHILDCARE VOUCHERS
One of our founding values centres around the family and as a way of showing this, MLS have signed up to the Childcare Voucher scheme. This allows working parents to cope with the ever increasing costs of childcare today. Any parent working for MLS can buy the vouchers, via their wages, and will automatically not pay tax or national insurance on these vouchers.
SOCIAL AND NETWORKING
Spread throughout the UK and increasingly around the world, MLS recognise the importance of bringing our teams together to bond and share experiences in order to grow. As such, we have several MLS events that happen throughout the year, involving all our staff. These include staff socials, summer parties and of course, the MLS Christmas Celebrations on the HMS President, plus many more local and regional events!
